Additional learning support
At our school, we ensure every student is ready to learn. We support students with disability and additional learning needs so they can take part in all areas of school life.
Personalised Learning Plans (PLPs)
Each of our students has a personalised learning plan. These are developed based from assessment from Passport for Learning. Students learning goals are written in collaboration with their families. Where appropriate, students are also encouraged to engage in this process. To support our students to achieve these goals, students have learning intentions and clear success criteria so they understand what they need to do in order to be successful. Our students PLP progress is tracked digitally in ALAN (assessing Literacy and Numeracy), on a whole school data wall and also on Bump it up walls in their individual classrooms.

Aboriginal Pathways
Each of our students that identifies s Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander has a pathway. This document records each students mob, future goals and support networks. Students also have additional goals around literacy, numeracy, culture, attendance and wellbeing.
Our schools Aboriginal Education Team support staff to develop pathways with our families as well as engaging all staff to demonstrate our school's commitment to an inclusive workplace and to celebrating the rich, diverse and resilient cultures of our country.

Transitions
Kurrambee School has identified transition points from Kindergarten to Year 12. These points include preschool to school, primary to high-school, support class to SSP, class to class, and school to post-school. We use evidence-based practices to inform our transition processes. These include:
- range of practises
- transition as a year long process
- valueing families input
- play based and real-life experiences
- partnerships to fostera sense of belonging.

High potential and gifted education
The High Potential and Gifted Education Policy promotes engagement and challenge for every student in every school.
The following principles guided the development of the HPGE policy:
- All students, regardless of background or personal circumstances, require access to learning programs that meet their learning needs and support to aspire to, and achieve, personal excellence.
- Our commitment to high expectations for all students includes high potential and gifted students.
- Achieving excellence for high potential and gifted students is underpinned by effective school environments including quality teaching, learning and leadership.
- Potential exists along a continuum, where differing degrees of potential require differing approaches and levels of adjustment and intervention.
