We have a very strong culture of communication and value every student having a voice. Students use AAC to communicate their ideas and thoughts.

Our teachers and learning and wellbeing support teams work with our families. We collaborate with families to develop personalised learning plans that help students learn in the way that works best for them.
Welcome to Kurrambee School
Kurrambee School is a School for Specific Purposes that caters for the educational needs of students with moderate to severe intellectual disabilities. We cater for students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Many of our students also have an additional diagnosis - autism, hearing, vision, and/or physical.
I’m delighted to welcome you to Kurrambee School, where every student is known, valued and cared for. Our mission, is for students to be supported in developing independence, building character, enhancing quality of life and maximising active community membership through high expectations and evidence based quality teaching and learning programs.
Our passionate staff work closely with families and the wider community to build strong partnerships. Together, we create a space where students feel supported, challenged, and inspired to grow.
